Around 5:30pm Rescue 42 responded to a vehicle accident assisting Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company. Crews were on scene for an hour.

Have you ever thought about giving back to your community? Now is the perfect time to become part of the Tunkhannock Township Volunteer Fire Company!
We are looking for dedicated community members to join us in a variety of roles:
🚒 Firefighters – Respond to emergencies, train with the latest equipment, and make a real difference when your neighbors need help most.
🚦 Fire Police – Assist with traffic control, scene safety, and protecting emergency personnel and the public.
🧑🚒 Junior Firefighters – Young members can join at 14 years old and begin learning the basics of the fire service in a safe, supervised environment.
🤝 Support Members – Help behind the scenes with fundraising, community events, and other essential duties that keep our company running strong.
No experience? No problem!
✅ All training is provided at no cost to you.
✅ All firefighting gear and equipment are provided.
✅ Learn valuable skills while becoming part of a family that serves the community with pride.
As a member, you’ll have the opportunity to respond to a wide variety of incidents, including:
🔥 Structure, vehicle, and wildland fires
🚗 Motor vehicle accidents
🛠️ Vehicle rescue and extrication
🚑 EMS calls
🪢 Rope rescue incidents
🌊 Water rescue emergencies
🌪️ Storm damage and natural disasters
